What to Expect
All sinners in need of a Savior, including children, are welcome at our services.
What's a service like?
Worship services are traditional liturgical Divine Services. The Divine Service is God coming to us with His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation. The action is always from God to us. He speaks, and we listen. He gives, and we receive.
What is the liturgy?
The liturgy provides the form and shape of the worship service. The liturgy has been developed over centuries from every time and place. The text comes from the Bible directly or from the church's age–long treasury of prayers and poetry.
What's the music like?
Hymns from the Lutheran Service Book supported by the organ and, from time-to-time, other instruments. Hymns are doctrine put into a poetic form and then set to music. The hymnal is not the work of one person, one denomination, one culture, or one generation. Our hymns not only reflect the great Lutheran tradition, but they also come from ancient Hebrew, Greek, Latin, European, African, North American, and African–American sources.
How do people dress?
God doesn't care about your external appearance. Whether you like "Sunday best" or casual, you're welcome to receive God's gifts.
What about my kids?
Bring them! Children attend Sunday School and participate with their parents in the Divine Service.
Can I take communion?
If you do not know or hold to the doctrinal commitment of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod please attend the Adult Instruction Class for membership before communing at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
How do I become a member?
Where do I park?
We have designated visitor parking close to the front door.
